Friends Corner is a non-profit, cooperative club. Our warm and cosy clubhouse is located in the quiet suburbs of Ano Glyfada. It is unique in the Athens area in that, during weekday morning hours, it operates similarly to a school, but is entirely run by parents. It is a primarily English-speaking family club where families get together, and where babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and (after-school hours) older kids can participate in a series of interactive and educational activities.
As a cooperative club, we run on a system by which members commit to being on ‘Duty’ one day during the week. Members on ‘Duty’ are in charge of opening the premises and guiding the daily activities (visit Our Programme for more details). Other members that are without ‘Duty’ also participate alongside their children, but are free to arrive and leave at any time. Duty Members are responsible for assisting an activity project (art or interactive) for the children to complete each day in accordance with the theme.
